Happy Beautiful Face is a performative socially based project that focuses on the utopian dreams of an everyday "American" and how as tragic and horrific our last years have been with Prez Bush, all seems serene and happy.

Our intent is to create a space of happiness and uncomfortability; glory and smugness; opulence and disgust; all feelings that come with "too much of one good thing." As delightful and freeing a drawing of a rainbow can instill happiness, joy and euphoria; feelings of confusion, strain and frustration balance this awkward overly dramatized symbol to ground the reality that it retains.

Amanda Browder and Stuart Keeler are interested in the social space of art in the context of the gallery and on the open road of urban spaces. Happy Beautiful Face is a continuous performative experience of drawing and painting that will be executed over a duration of the gallery opening.
